DOF Logistics moves the freight by ocean, rail, and air. We can also arrange insurance for the value of that freight, if you ask before it is picked up. Carrier liability on a bill of lading is not the same thing. It is limited, and some causes of loss are excluded.
General average is a maritime rule. Each cargo owner may have to contribute to a cost that saved the voyage. The ship will not release the cargo until security is posted. Cargo insurance is how most shippers post that security. If there is a claim, we help you submit the papers to the insurer.
