U.S. warehousing for import and export freight

Transload, cross-docking, storage, ocean consolidation, and overweight and project cargo.

Warehousing services

Transload

Freight is unloaded from one piece of equipment and reloaded to another, such as from a container to a truck or a railcar.

Cross-docking

Import containers and air freight can be unloaded and reloaded the same day when the outbound truck is already booked.

Storage

We receive against your packing list, hold the freight, and release it to a truck, an airline, a train, or a consolidation.

Ocean consolidation

Smaller shipments are received, held to the cutoff, and loaded into one container for a U.S. import or export.

Overweight and project cargo

Heavy and out-of-gauge pieces are received, checked against the plan, and released to the truck or vessel booked for that move.

What DOF does in the warehouse

DOF Logistics provides warehousing for ocean, rail, and air freight moving to and from the United States. The locations are Chicago, New York and New Jersey, Savannah, Tampa, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Miami, and Houston.

The work is transload, cross-docking, storage, ocean consolidation, and overweight and project cargo. Ocean consolidation is booked under our NVOCC license. Overweight and project cargo is planned before the freight is received, then staged for the truck or the vessel.
